Dear La Habitacion 235 Team,

We’re Cactus for Breakfast, an indie surf rock band based in Berlin, and we’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you! On January 7th, 2025, we’ll be releasing our brand-new single, “Take Me Where You Go”—the first single in our journey toward our upcoming compilation.

This song represents a bold new chapter for us, combining reverb-drenched guitar solos with an atmospheric, slow psychedelic section and groovy bass lines

We want this song to feel like an experimental journey—a blend of classic surf sounds with a fresh neo-psychedelic edge. At its core, the song is about those moments of connection and exploration, following someone anywhere, just to see where the road leads - even if it opens up risks and unexpected terrain.

You can pre-listen our upcoming single release in this private sharing link:

Please do not share the song or the link with the public until the release date. However, feel free to tell everyone about the taste of the song.

2024 has been an incredible year for us. We released our debut EP, Horsemilk Hangover, which earned thousands of listeners worldwide. This summer alone, we played over 10 gigs across Germany.

As a band, our roots are as diverse as our sound:
- Robin Wilms (Vocals & Guitar) and Timo Wunderlich (Drums), both from Germany
- Shane Wagner (Vocals & Guitar) from the US
- and Thomas Dwi Putra (Bass), from Indonesia

Together, we bring influences from '60s/'70s surf and psychedelic rock (like The Doors and The Velvet Underground) with modern alternative indie sounds (The Nude Party, The Grogans, Sun Room).

"Take Me Where You Go" is just the beginning. It’s the first of seven singles we’ll release in 2025, paving the way for our new compilation and an exciting year of live performances. Berlin has been such a vibrant home for our creative journey, and we’re excited to connect with audiences worldwide as we grow.

We think our story—and this track—could be a great fit for La Habitacion 235, If you’re interested, we’d love to more about the single, the upcoming releases, and our journey as a band. Whether it’s an interview, a feature, or even a live session for your audience, we’d be thrilled to collaborate.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Warm regards,
Cactus for Breakfast
